In 1920, she is a toddler, and baby of the house of 7 in Long Point, IL. The house composed of parents, a widowed paternal Grandma “Pheba”, two older siblings, and a house servant named Elma Defenbaugh, who is 18 and from IL, as are her parents. Ten years later not much has changed other than servant left and a younger brother Lyle came along. Throughout the 40’s and 50’s she is a home maker with husband and kids in rural Reading, IL. She did fully complete high school.
